January 2nd

• 1962:
  • Kentaro Hayami, the voice actor for Captain in the theatrical release of the Japanese dub of "Misty Island Rescue" was born.

  • The Complete Series 6 DVD is released for the first time in Australia.
  • The Hong Kong DVD "Thomas and Friends Volume 5" is released for the first time in it's DVD form.

• 2011:
  • The PBS Broadcast entitled 'Sounds and Smells' aired on television for the first time,.

• 2014:
  • The books entitled "Scruff Gets Clean", "Kevin Meets Cranky" "Gordon Runs Dry", "Noisy Stafford", "The Lost Puff" and "Now Snow for Thomas" were all released for the first time.

• 2016:
  • Den and Dart airs on television for the first time in Australia.

• 2017:
  • Ben Forster, the actor who played 'Mr. Perkins' in the live action segments, passes away at the age of fifty-nine.
  • the two-in-one book entitled "Engine of the Future/Hugo and the Airship" was meant to be released, but has apparently been cancelled since.

• 2018:
  • The book "Thomas and the Beanstalk" was released for the first time in Germany.
  • The Step into Reading book "The Runaway Kite" was released for the first time.

• 2018:
  • The book entitled "A Visit to London for Thomas the Tank Engine" was read on Milkshake! as part of a segment celebrating World Book Day. It was told by the Fat Controller (played by Steven Carne) and Milkshake! presenter Jen. 
  • Terence Breaks the Ice aired on television for the first time in Australia.

• 2020:

  • Oliver Rohrbeck, a German voice actor who voiced Spencer in a Thomas & Friends audio book, was born.
• 1991:
  • "Thomas the Tank Engine Volume 2" (Also known as "Thomas' Mistake) which is a Japanese VHS, was released for the first time.

• 1997:
  • At the age of eighty-five, Wilbert Awdry, the creator of the Railway Series passed away.
  • Rusty to the Rescue & Thomas and Stepney aired on television for the first time in Norway.

• 2008:
  • Thomas' Frosty Friend aired on television for the first time in Australia.

• 2011:
  • Big Belle aired on television for the first time in the United Kingdom.

  • Teddy Boston passed away at the age of 61.

  • The Compilation DVD-Pack called "Play Date Pack" s released for the first time.

  • Images of a Motorized Duchess & Kenji are revealed, along with Shane & Kevin in a Motorized Box for the first time. Images of a Trackmaster Push-Along Sonny & Rail Rocket James, along with an image of the book "Thomas and the Royal Engine" are all revealed for the first time.

April 18th

• 2020:
  • A CGI Image of Sonny is released for the first time, due to new clips from Series 24 being leaked for the first time, including footage from the episodes "World of Tomorrow", "A New Arrival", and "Thomas and the Royal Engine" via ThomasFan2002 and ThomasHDMedia on YouTube.
• 2021:
  • Thomas fan CrazyCabooseProductions passed away at the age of 16, his death was announced two days afterwards.

April 21st

• 1943:
  • Jorge Roig, who voiced several characters in the Latin American dub of the show, was born.
• 1961:
  • Martin May, who voiced several characters in the German dub of the show, was born.
• 1979:

  • Thomas, Terence and the Snow aired on television for the first time in Australia.
• 1988:
  • Old Iron aired on television for the first time in Australia.
• 1993:
  • The George Carlin narration of Thomas and the Guard and Cows aired on television for the first time in the United States, on the Shining Time Station episode entitled "Fortune Teller Schemer" on PBS Kids.
• 1996:
  • Granpuff aired on television for the first time in Australia.
• 1997:
  • The song entitled "Kids for Character" was released for the first time, on the home-video of the same name.
• 1998:
  • Thomas Comes to Breakfast & Daisy aired on television for the first time in Germany.
• 2004:
  • The Spotless Record aired on television for the first time in Australia

May 2nd

• 2020:

  • The New Promotional Series "Thomas' Magical Birthday Wishes" Launched for the first time on several different of the official Thomas YouTube channels, with the first episode, entitled "Thomas and the Ants!".

May 12th

• 1937:
  • George Carlin, former Narrator of the series, was born.
• 1945:
  • The Three Railway Engines, the first book of the Railway Series, was published for the first time.

May 15th

• 2021:
  • TomsProps reveals for the first time that he has acquired Rheneas' original Season 4 model, alongside two red narrow-gauge coaches from the same season.

May 18th

• 2019:
  • The History of Thomas Event which would last until the next day began.
• 2021:
  • Mike O' Donnell released his second Engine Themes CD for the first time.

May 20th

• 2021:
  • TomsProps reveals that he has acquired five screen-used Stepney facemask props.

May 22nd

• 2021:
  • ThomasTankMerch announces that they have acquired Duncan's Large-Scale resin/dummy model made for the Season 11 episode "Cool Truckings".

  • LeoKimVideo finally reveals the identity of The Mad Bomber, in his old fan-series, as having been Bluebell.

June 15th

• 1911:
  • At 5:20 AM Wilbert Awdry, the creator of the Railway Series, was born.

• 1992:
  • Thomas Comes Home, the thirty-sixth volume of the Railway Series was released for the first time.

• 2005:
  • The magazine story entitled "Percy and the Big Mistake", "Hooray, Henry", and "Suits Me" were all released for the first time.

• 2007:
  • Thomas and the Treasure aired on television for the first time in Germany.

• 1940:
  • Christopher Awdry, son of the Rev. W. Awdry, and author of the Railway Series was born.

• 1951:
  • Jamo Koksi, the voice actor for Sidney and Henry in the Finnish dub of the show, was born.

• 1961:
  • Will McRobb, one of the script writers for the aborted film "The Adventures of Thomas" was born.

• 1976:
  • Taisuke Yamato the voice actor for Jeremy in the Japanese dub of the show, was born.

• 2008:
  • The Magic Lamp aired on television for the first time in Japan.

• 2009:
  • Which Way Now? aired on television for the first time in Japan.

• 2012:
  • The book "Tick Tock Clock!" was released for the first time in the United Kingdom.

• 2013:
  • Fun on the Rails Playback was released for the first time.

• 2014:

  • Luke Ryan confirms that Awdry did indeed have a BoCo Model, with an image of said model, being shown to the Fandom, the following day.

  • Mattel begins targeting fan-made Thomas Roblox Games, by having Roblox do their bidding for them, by blocking various fan-games.

  • An event is held in Edison, New Jersey in which original props were on public-display for fans to enjoy. This included The Season 4 Sir Handel Prop & the Pack scale Trevor Prop, among many other screen-used items owned by ThomasTankMerch.

September 11th

• 1999:
  • Thomas and the Rumours and Thomas, Percy and Old Slow Coach both aired on television for the first time in the United States, as part of Storytime with Thomas.
• 2004:
  • Not So Hasty Puddings aired on television for the first time in Japan.
• 2005:
  • The version of The Spotless Record with new music aired on television for the first time in the United Kingdom.

  • The date written on the bottom of the 4-Plank L"M"S Truck that appeared in Season 1, 2, and 6, which is now owned by ThomasTankMerch. It should be noted however, that this is not the date the truck was constructed, but possibly the date it was either purchased for use on Thomas, or the day it was first filmed on screen. It is actually sourced from a 4-Plank LMS O-Gauge Truck model from Pre-World War II, making it the oldest known prop seen on the set of the show.
