Gordon and the Gremlin is the sixth episode of the fifth season. It first premiered on September 21st 1998, in the UK.
Plot
One Morning, Gordon's fire wouldn't light, firelighter jokes that it must be because of gremlins, to which Percy asks Thomas what Gremlins are, Thomas explains, and Percy gets Excited, James tells him that gremlins don't exist, and that it's just a bunch of nonsense. Thomas says that it must be truth, as firelighter said so. Sir Topham Hatt arrives to tell the engines that a very important person will soon arrive on the island, and informs Gordon that he is to pull the special coach that the visitor will be travelling in, but warns him not to go two fast. The Turntable in which the coach is in is damaged, which causes a delay, but Gordon is soon able to arrive Kirk Ronan to pick up the passenger. Gordon's driver decides to go fast, much to the passengers disliking, as her bath water spills in the coach. Gordon soon arrives at the station in which Thomas is waiting to collect Sir Topham Hatt and the visitor. Gordon's whistle terrifies the visitor's dog, who runs into a nearby field, only to be confronted by a bull, which scares him even more, he then run's straight back to Thomas' cab without stopping. Thomas arrives at the dock's where he's asks who Sir Topham Hatt who the visitor is, to which he replies that it is his mother, she renames her dog 'gremlin' after the events that occured that day.
Goofs
- It is said that The Fat Controller had heard everything the engines said, yet when Percy mentions Gremlins, he says "What Gremlins?".
