The History of Thomas Event was an event that was held at the Midland Railway Butterly train station from May 18th-19th 2019, to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Railway Series. The event showcased many rare props from the television series, as well are rare merchandise memorabilia. The event was hosted by railway consultant Sam Wilkinson.

- Some props were loaned from Mattel to be displayed at the event.
- The Stock Photos shared by SeansModels on twitter were first shown off at this event before being uploaded online. Various other Stock photos, particularly from the production of Thomas and the Magic Railroad and the 5th Series were also revealed for the first time at this event, via other sources.
