Before being aired on PBS, a Journey Beyond Sodor Commercial was aired on PBS promoting the movie. It first aired on November 13th 2017 just before the 7:30 AM timeslot. It continued to air at the same time. It also aired after Thomas Broadcasts, as well as after other shows until November 17th 2017.

- This commercial marks the second to last Thomas Ad to ever be aired on PBS.
