The First Blue Tender Engine
The Blue Tender Engine is a background character that only appeared in the second illustration of Thomas and the Trucks, in The Railway Series book Thomas the Tank Engine. The engine's fate afterwards is unknown, but it can be presumed that it was sent back to the other railway, and was eventually scrapped.
Basis
The engine appears to be a freelance design, but slightly resembles an LNER A1 class engine, but having an 0-6-0 wheel configuration and an Ivatt-style cab.
Livery
This engine is painted in a dark blue livery, with a black running board and black wheels.
